    Day #3 Amsterdam Panoramic City Tour by Bus & Boat 9:00 AM - $25.00

    This panoramic tour of Amsterdam takes you to view both the old and new sections of the city. From the comfort of a modern air-conditioned motor coach, view the Royal Palace, National Monument, "Skinny Bridge," Albert Cuyp market, and the beautiful merchant houses along the canals. The tour also includes a visit to a windmill on the Amstel River. Afterwards, enjoy a tour through Amsterdam's famous canals and Old Harbor. Board a glass-top boat and cruise the canals to view historic homes with beautiful fronts, 16th-century warehouses, and charming churches with bell towers.     Day #4 Half Day Marken, Volendam & Windmills 8:45 AM - $55.00

    This excursion takes you through the countryside north of Amsterdam, to the edge of the river Zaan, where you will visit the windmill village De Zaanse Schans, with its characteristic green wooden houses. At the turn of the 18th century this district was an industrial area with approximately 700 windmills in use. In this day and age there are only five left. Through typical Dutch scenery you will continue to Volendam for a city walk, and then to the traditional fisherman’s village of Marken, situated on the shores of the former Zuiderzee. This tour includes a visit to a working windmill, a boat ride between Marken and Volendam, a demonstration in a cheese factory and visit to a traditional clogmaker. Departs from 26 Damrak, the main street between central station & Dam square. Drop-off at 26 Damrak. Approximate tour duration is 5.5 hours.

Today's tour takes you to Versailles Palace to witness the grandeur of French classical architecture. Visit the Palace and extravagant State Apartments, including a guided visit to the Reception Halls, the Queen's Bedroom, and the Hall of Mirrors. You will also have time to walk the palace grounds and formal gardens*, designed by Andre le Notre, at your leisure.
